    – A situation in which we are protected against disease or infection. It is the
body’s biological defense mechanism. In other words, it is the phenomenon of
self defense mechanism of our body.
  • Who
is responsible for this noble job in our body?
  • The
immune system of our body does it all.
  • The
immune system is what   protects our body
from gems like bacteria, virus and other microbes. It’s the bodily system that
produces the immune response to defend our body from any foreign invaders. More
specifically they are known as antigens against which our body produces anti
    bodies.
  • Now
the main question arises, “How to improve or boost this phenomenon of immunity?”
    • Sensible
      Diet.
    • Adequate
      Sleep.

    • Evolves
      spiritual understanding.
  • Lets
talk about some exercise which we can do during these days staying at home:
    • Aerobics
    • Zumba
    • Skipping
    • Any
      Dance
    • Freehand
      Exercise
    • Free
      Weight Exercise
    • Yoga
    • Pranayama
    • Planks
      with Variations
    • Sets
of Combination Exercises. (type 1 to 4, use 30 second and repeat it)
  • Lets
focus on the bond between exercise and immunity:
    • Exercise
of physical activity causes change in antibodies and white blood cells (WBC).
WBCs are the body’s immune system cells  that fight disease and infections.
    • Researchers
found that regular walking may lead to a higher number of white blood cells,
which fight infections. In another study, researchers found that in 65 year
olds who did regular exercise, the number of T-cells – a specific type of white
blood cell – was as high as those of people in their 30s. (WebMD, Oct, 2017)
    • B-cells
are like the body’s military intelligence system, seeking out their targets,
T-cells are engaged in direct cell on cell warfare. T-cells are like the soldiers,
destroying the foreign invaders within the body identified by the B –cells.
    • Exercise
helps in raising the body temperature. The brief rise in body temperature
during and right after may help the body fight infection better. Physical
activity help flush bacteria out of the lungs and airways. This actually
reduces the chance of getting a cold, flu, or other respiratory illness.
    • Exercise
slows down the release of stress hormones. Some stress increases the chance of
illness. Lower stress hormones may protect against illness. Eg: Adrenaline
increase the heart rate, elevates blood pressure, Cortisol, the primary stress
hormone , increase sugars (glucose) in the bloodstream. (Medline Plus, May,
      2020).
    • Exercise
increase the release of the happy hormones like Oxytocin, Endorphin, Serotonin
and Dopamine. These in turn helps to boost our body immunity.
    • Exercise
actually helps to maintain the hormonal homeostasis.
    • Obesity
is another every serious health problem which subsequently raise many other health
related issues and reduces immunity.  Exercise
is one of the important tool to control obesity.
    •  Being in isolation without access to gyms and
sports clubs should not mean people stop exercising This is according to a new
study not mean people stop exercising This is according to a new study from
researchers at the University of Bath. Keeping up regular, daily exercise at a
time when much of the world is going into isolation will play an important role
in helping to maintain a healthy immune system. (Science Daily March, 2020)
    • Today’s
evidence of the infected corona virus patients which was telecast all over the
media, shows that people with chronic respiratory problems, diabetes, lungs
disorders, heart problem, any type of cancer, to sum up, all immunocompromised people
are more susceptible to this virus.
    • Since
it is evident from all supported academic sources that exercise is important for
better lifestyle and health, exercise remains as a fact that is one among the
very important factors to improve the body’s immune system.
